Can't Wait

Ah, 2012. I've been looking forward to you for a long time.
Let's celebrate The Year of The Hobbit
Let's review the movies coming out this year and my speculations:

The Hunger Games
Pros: Could be good.
Cons: I couldn't even get past the first chapter of the book. (dystopian novels are not my cup of tea.)

The Avengers
Pros: It could either be the coolest idea ever...
Cons: ...Or the dumbest.

Brave
Pros: It's Pixar and it's set in Scotland (!)
Cons: Cars 2 is still fresh in everybody's mind.

Dorothy of Oz
Pros: The slight possibility it might be good; Lovely animation.
Cons: The overwhelming posibility that it won't be so great.

Hotel Transylvania
Pros: Could be funny...I guess...
Cons: Adam Sandler; It will most likely be dumb.

Rise of the Guardians
Pros: It's Dreamworks, and since Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon I've been more open to their movies.
Cons: It's Dreamworks.

Atlas Shrugged Part 2
Pros: Part 1 left me hanging!
Cons: Not really anything, as it's already an indie movie, so what has it got to lose?

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
Pros: It's The Hobbit! Directed by Peter Jackson!
Cons: That they just might mess it up; The fact that Part 1 movies tend to drag for me.

Life of Pi
Pros: Could be a fun family adventure.
Cons: I tried to read the book...Never got past the first page.

Atlas Shrugged 1 - would you recommend it? I tried reading the book, but it's super long and there seemed to be some inappropriate content.

Besides The Hobbit (which makes up for any lack of good movies this year!), I can't say I'm looking forward to many movies. Maybe Wrath of the Titans.

Well, Atlas Shrugged part 1 was much LESS innapropriate than the book--there was a scene that a good friend of mine skipped for me, so I'm not quite sure what THAT contained. I'd suggest checking the Parent's Guide on imdb.
PS--just checked it. Oh, yeah, I don't recommend it.

I Am An Otter

You're an otter, mate! Another good friend of Redwall, you are a natural swimmer and a deadly fighter especially with a long bow or javellin. Camp Willow is your home, just as Redwall is your second home. You have a good heart and a strong sense of loyalty. You absolutely love Shrimp and Hotroot soup, living by the motto "Ain't nothing 'otter for an Otter!".
